I have switched over to using the new Remote Desktop App that comes with Windows 10 to connect to computers in my office. I created a bunch of saved connections but now need to export them to a new computer. Is there a config file somewhere that I can
copy over to a new computer that will make it so I don’t have to recreate all my saved computer connections?

The settings for the Remotedesktop APP from the Microsoft Store (://.microsoft/en-us/store/p./microsoft-remotedesktop/9wzdncrfj3ps) are saved in “%LOCALAPPDATA%PackagesMicrosoft.RemoteDesktop_8wekyb3d8bbwe”.

I haven’t tested copying them to another Profile/PC yet.

    Regards.

    Copying the folders Inside”%LOCALAPPDATA%PackagesMicrosoft.RemoteDesktop_8wekyb3d8bbwe”.

    Just works fine.

You must enter the passwords on next connection though that was expected.

    Regards.

It’s truly unbelievable that it’s 2022 and the remote desktop APP still doesn’t have the incredibly basic and expected import/export features.

So if you need to RDP, use the app screenshotted above. Don’t bother wasting your time with the inadequate piece of shit app.

The app can’t seem to maintain more than one connection without freezing up anyways – it’s pure trash not worthy of windows 10, and definitely not worthy of the joke of calling any version of windows OS “pro” – pro’s don’t need to get treated like
    clueless Mac users.

Really, the concept of “pro” is long gone in Windows. MS treats everybody like Mac using idiots now. Really amazing considering Mac OS never had enough market share to take seriously – copying fail is stupid. If I want a phone/tablet
OS experience, I’ll use a phone or tablet. As I’m on a PC I’d rather not pretend I’m in kindergarten. Thanks.
