HOW CAN I FIX — Thank you.
Ever since my máy tính had a Windows 10 update a few months ago, the battery STOPPED charging — ACER máy tính Aspire E-15 —
I was the following suggested fix trực tuyến re accessing Deice Manager, tried the steps below but instead I am now getting message when mouse is hovered over the battery icon to say:

the first message before trying the fix was saying something like —
Plugged in but NOT charging
STEPS I TOOK TO TRY TO FIX:
Open the Device Manager by searching for it or right-clicking the Start button and selecting Device Manager.
Click Batteries on the list to expand it and you should see two items: Microsoft AC Adapter and Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery.

Right-click on each item and choose Uninstall device. Yes, you are uninstalling your máy tính’s battery drivers, but don’t worry because they will automatically be reinstalled when you restart your máy tính.
Shut down your máy tính.
Unplug the power cable from your máy tính.
If your máy tính has a removable battery, remove it. My Lenovo máy tính does not have a removable battery. I tried skipping this step but it didn’t work, so I removed the bottom panel of my máy tính and then removed the battery by disconnecting it from the motherboard.
Put the battery back in if you removed it.
Plug in your máy tính.
Power on your máy tính.
Click the battery icon in the system tray and you should see that your máy tính is plugged in and charging.

Acer battery won’t charge
What if the battery unremoveable? Should I disassemble and remove it? also there is a switch underneath the case and around the RAM slot that prevent the máy tính to turn on when the case is open and without the charger. Is that the same as removing the battery? although when turned on with charger, the máy tính still see the battery. Thanks
If the máy tính works without the battery then charger is functioning correctly. Take a cloth with a bit of rubbing alcohol on it (or some on-the-go alcohol swabs), and clean the metal contacts that connect your battery to your máy tính.
Make sure to install all Windows important updates.
Install latest versions of your máy tính device drivers you can tải về the latest device drivers from the device manufacturer or from your máy tính manufacturer website.

1. Shutdown your máy tính.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Connect the AC power adapter to your máy tính.
4. Power on the máy tính

3. Start the máy tính with only AC adapter connected to máy tính.
4. When you login to Windows OS connect the battery while Windows OS working.
Step 3
Reset the System Management Controller. Use one of these methods to reset the SMC, which controls battery management, battery status light.
1. Shut down the computer and disconnect the power cord.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Press and hold the power button for ten seconds.

Generate a battery report. Amongst other things, this should tell you the design capacity of the battery and its current maximum charge capacity. All batteries loose capacity with use so don’t expect the charge capacity to be 100% of the design capacity, but for a useable battery it should be well over 50% design capacity.

I second Freebooter’s suggestions for checking other reasons the battery may no be charging, but if it’s health has deteriorated it may be time to replace it.Click to expand…I took the report, the design capacity was 41.440 mWh but full charge capacity is now 25.752 mWh. Is it that bad? Before this happened I believe HWMonitor also show the same number with 38% Wear Level.
